Child Safety Standards
Crimson has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to every user, post, comment, reply, group, organization, image, link, and other interaction on Crimson.
1. Prohibited conduct and content
Users may not create, upload, request, share, link to, promote, normalize, or facilitate content or conduct involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a person under 18.
- Child sexual abuse material, including computer-generated, altered, or illustrated material that sexualizes a child.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation, sexualized communication with a child, or attempts to move a child to private or off-platform communication for exploitative purposes.
- Sextortion, trafficking, coercion, threats, or requests for sexual images or activity involving a child.
- Content that identifies, shames, harasses, or endangers a child victim or survivor.
- Links, instructions, coded language, communities, or transactions intended to distribute or obtain CSAM or facilitate CSAE.
- Any other conduct that exploits or sexualizes children or violates applicable child-safety law.
2. Prevention and in-app protections
Crimson uses a combination of automated moderation, link-safety checks, user reports, blocking tools, access controls, and human review to reduce abuse. These systems cannot guarantee that every violation will be detected immediately, so user reports are important.
Crimson is not directed to children under 13. A person under 13 must not create or use a Crimson account. Users under the age of legal majority should use Crimson only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. How to report a concern
4. Crimson's response
