Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to the Crimson mobile application, website, community features, and related services. By creating an account or using Crimson, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Crimson account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has permitted your use of Crimson.
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by law.
2. License to use Crimson
Subject to these Terms, Crimson grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful personal, church, group, or organization purposes supported by the app.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, disrupt, scrape, probe, or misuse the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not use Crimson to violate another person's rights or applicable law.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of original content you submit to Crimson. You give Crimson a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and moderate that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service according to your sharing choices.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not violate law, these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
4. Community conduct and safety
Crimson may host user-generated posts, comments, replies, images, and group activity. You must treat others with dignity and may not post illegal, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, or infringing content.
We may use automated and human moderation, remove or restrict content, preserve evidence, limit features, suspend accounts, or report conduct to appropriate authorities. You can report supported content and block abusive users from within the app.
5. Scripture content and AI-assisted features
Crimson supports Bible study and spiritual reflection, but it does not replace Scripture itself, a trusted faith community, qualified pastoral care, or professional advice. AI-assisted and editorial content may contain errors, omissions, or interpretations with which you disagree.
You are responsible for evaluating content and decisions made from it. Do not rely on Crimson for emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional guidance.
6. Purchases, subscriptions, and support
Paid features, subscriptions, or voluntary support may be processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another identified payment provider. Prices, renewal terms, trial terms, taxes, cancellation methods, and refund rights are presented by the applicable provider at purchase.
Unless the provider states otherwise, recurring payments continue until canceled through the provider. Deleting Crimson or deleting your Crimson account does not necessarily cancel an App Store, Google Play, or Stripe recurring payment. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Third-party services
Crimson may contain third-party content, integrations, links, payment pages, or authentication services. Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider's terms and policies. Crimson is not responsible for services outside our control.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Crimson available, but the Service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted access. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, safety, or enforcement.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Crimson or delete your account at any time. We may remove content or suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms, our safety standards, another person's rights, or applicable law have been violated. Where appropriate, you may ask for review by contacting support.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crimson is provided as is and as available. We disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crimson and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Any aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Crimson during the twelve months before the claim or fifty U.S. dollars. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Crimson changes. The current version will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
